Celebrating 75 years!

This is the official website of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 965.  This website is intended to share information with the more than 1350 members of Local Union 965 and encourage non-union workers to seek information about being organized.

Local Union 965 is primarily located throughout South-Central and Central Wisconsin.  We represent workers at Alliant Energy, Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative, Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative, Everbrite, Inc. in Pardeeville, Richland Electric Cooperative, Public Utility Commission of Richland Center, Village of Sauk City (Water, Light & Public Works), Village of Prairie du Sac (Water, Light & Public Works), Mazomanie (Public Works), Fennimore (Electric, Wastewater, Generation & Clerical), Rock Energy Cooperative, Muscoda Police, Cuba City craft employees, Reedsburg craft and Public Works, Union Financial advisors. Stoughton Utilities and Administrative Support Staff at the Beloit School System.  We just completed a contract with DTE Stoneman in Cassville, WI.  All of these locations are headquartered in Wisconsin.

Local Union 965 was chartered June 13, 1937.  The original charter was to represent workers in the utility industry.  Today, we represent workers in Utility, Municipal, Cooperative, Manufacturing and Professional.  We are ever seeking interested employees who wish to be organized to collectively fight for better wages, benefits and working conditions.  In order for non-union workers to get unionized, all they need to do is contact our office.  We will be glad to assist you in your organizing efforts.
