Negotiations resumed with the Company at the Madison Headquarters on

April 8-10. We continued with:

C-11 (Genco Travel Rules) - On hold until Genco Travel Committee completes study. Committee is scheduled to meet on April 16, 2003.

C-15 (4 Shift to 5 Shift) – Presented and discussed on 03/20 and again on 03/27. Discussions continued through 04/02 with no resolve. Continued discussion week of 04/08. Tentative Agreement reached on 04/09.

C-17 (Create Lead Line Tech) – Presented and discussed on 03/20 and again on 03/27. Discussions continued through 04/01 with no resolve. Continued discussion week of 04/08 with no resolve.

C-18 (Eliminate Lead Pay) - Presented and discussed on 03/20. Continued discussion on 03/25. Union countered with U-21 to increase Lead pay rate. Continued discussion week of 04/08.

U-3 (Successor Language) – There was much discussion on this with no resolve. Still on the table.

U-9 (Additional Assistant Business Manager Benefits) - Presented on 03/20. Discussions continued on 03/27 and 03/28. Continued discussion on 04/08 with no resolve.

U-17 (Sick Leave Offset for Retirement) – Presented and discussed on 03/27. Requested information received on 04/03. Will be discussing when other pension proposals are presented.

U-21 (Lead Pay) – Counter proposal to C-18 on 03/25. Company countered Union lead pay proposal 04/10. Union considering Company counter.

U-24 (Certified Welding Premium) – Presented and discussed on 03/27. The Company presented language on 03/28 for the Union to review. Still discussing how to resolve issue. Discussions and counter proposals resulted in a tentative agreement on 04/10.

U-25 (All Other Premiums) – Presented and discussed on 03/27. Company will discuss at final package time.

U-37 (Wisconsin State AFL-CIO Health Care Plan) A presentation was given by David Newby on Tuesday, March 25th. Waiting for further information.

U-23 (Idle Time) – Tentative Agreement reached on 04/10 to include language concerning single motel rooms and non-commodity work into the contract.

New proposals that were brought to the table for the week of April 8, were:

C-3 (New Rules and Conditions for New Hires) – Much discussion took place on 04/08 and 04/09 with no resolve.

C-19 (Revisions to Article XXVII) – Discussed on 04/08 and 04/10 with no resolve.

C-20 (Modify Long-Term Disability) – Discussed on 04/8 and briefly on 04/10 with no resolve.

U-2 (Neutrality Clause) – Discussed on 04/08.

We will reconvene with the Company at the Labor Temple on Tuesday, April 15, 2003. We hope this information is helpful in keeping the membership up-to-date.
