Dear Sisters and Brothers,

The Company and Union did not meet on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 due to the fact that on August 11, 2003, as your negotiating committee was making final preparations to meet with the Company on August 12, the Company informed the committee that they had made another mistake concerning the costs associated with Health Care premiums late in the day. The mistake would result in an increase to the total premium.

We almost immediately informed the Company that there seemed to be additional errors in their new numbers and they said they would get back to us. As of early afternoon on August 12, your Union Negotiating Committee has not yet received the final numbers.

The next meeting with the Company is tentatively set for Thursday, August 21, 2003.
