Dear Sister or Brother: 

Your Union Negotiating Committee met this morning at the General Office with the Alliant - WP&L Committee and the Federal Mediator to inform the Company of the issues which prevented ratification of the last contract package between Local 965 and Alliant -WPL.  Some of the main issues pending are retroactivity of wages, delayed wage increases and the medical plans.

After much discussion and debate over these issues, it was decided that there would be no resolve today and the parties agreed to reconvene on Monday, December 29, 2003.
