Negotiations resumed with the Company at the Madison Headquarters on Tuesday, May 20, – Wednesday, May 21. We continued with: C-20 (Modify Long-Term Disability) – Discussed on 04/8 and briefly on 04/10 with no resolve. Union waiting for requested information from the Company. Received information from the Company. Union is working with outside consultant. Received information from consultant and discussed with the Company on 05/14 and 05/15 with no resolve. Continued discussions on 05/20 and 05/21 with a tentative agreement reached on 05/21. C-31 (Alternate Compensation Plan for Clerical Employees) Brought to the table on 05/07 with discussion, also discussion on 05/08 with no resolve. C-34 (Introduce a New Life Insurance Coverage Program) – Company brought in Deb Ramharter (Sr. Compensation & Benefits Analyst). Discussed on 04/30 and 05/01. Continued discussion on 05/08. U-9 (Additional Assistant Business Manager Benefits) - Presented on 03/20. Discussions continued on 03/27 and 03/28. Continued discussion on 04/08 with no resolve. Continued discussions week of 04/15 with no resolve. Discussion continued on 04/25. Discussion continued on 05/01/03 with no resolve. Discussion continued on 05/20 and 05/21 with no resolve. U-17 (Sick Leave Offset for Retirement) – Presented and discussed on 03/27. Requested information received on 04/03. Will be discussing when other pension proposals are presented. U-25 (All Other Premiums) – Presented and discussed on 03/27. Company will discuss at final package time. U-37 (Wisconsin State AFL-CIO Health Care Plan) A presentation was given by David Newby on Tuesday, March 25th. Waiting for further information. U-46 (Pension Benefits) – Brought to the table on 04/15. Continued discussion on 04/29. The Company brought John Day (Mgr. of Compensation Retirement) to discuss. U-49 (Unit Operators – Wage Adjustment) Presented and discussed on 04/16 and 04/17 with no resolve. Continued discussions on 05/06 – 05/08 with no resolve. Withdrawn on 05/21.
U-49 (Gas Positions – Wage Adjustment) Discussed on 04/30 and 05/01 with no resolve. Continued discussions on 05/06 – 05/08 with no resolve. Discussions continued on 05/13 and 05/14 with no resolve. Continued discussions on 05/20 and 05/21 with tentative agreement reached on 05/21. U-49 (APD – Wage Adjustment) - Brought to the table on 05/06 and discussed on 05/08 with no resolve. Continued discussions on 05/20 and 05/21. Withdrawn on 05/21. Began discussions on Medical, Dental, Vision and related subjects on 05/13, 05/14 and 05/15 with discussions to continue. Discussion continued on 05/20 and 05/21 with the Union and the company agreeing it is time to put a package together to begin resolving the issues of Pension, Wages and Health and Welfare.

Due to unfortunate personal medical reasons, Business Manager Reents was unable to attend the bargaining sessions for the week of May 19. Assistant Business Manager Bartels replaced Business Manager Reents for the week. We will reconvene with the Company on Tuesday, May 27.
