Today your Union Negotiating Committee for IBEW Local 965, and Alliant
Energy reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year package ending in May of 2006.  This package is subject to ratification by the membership of Local 965.  The details of this package will be shared with your Chief Steward next Monday, November 10, 2003 at an Alliant Chief Steward meeting held at the Madison Labor Temple.

Interpretation and contract vote meetings will be scheduled at the Chief
Steward meeting and will be conducted similar to the last vote.  We
appreciate your support and remind you that without your involvement it
would have been impossible to accomplish any improvements from the Company's best and final offer.
