It is time to make your reservations for this year’s IBEW Local Union 965 Solidarity Picnic.  The picnic is being held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Goodland Park which is just South of Madison on Lake Waubesa (MAP*). There are a couple shelters and we have reserved the park for the day.  Bring your family and enjoy a day of fun and solidarity with other IBEW Local Union 965 members and their families.

We have a bunch of activities planned for this year’s picnic.  We will have a putting green set up to compete for IBEW apparel items.  We have an air castle/bounce ride, helium balloons and games for everyone to enjoy.  There will be a slushy machine, beverages, food and snacks available throughout the day.  We will also have a prize drawing at the end of the day.  Additionally, anyone who brings a non perishable item to be donated by IBEW Local 965 to area food banks will get a prize ticket for each item which will be included in a separate prize drawing.

There are a few choices on how to make your reservation for the picnic which can be found on our website http://www.ibew965.com under the heading of picnic 2006.

Second, you can go to this link to print off a form and either mail the completed form to the Union Office or fax it to (608) 259-2405.  http://www.ibew965.com/picinic/2006%20picnic%20registration%20form.pdf

Next, you can send an e-mail to unite@ibew965.com in order to register.  If sending an e-mail, please let us know your name and the number of people attending including the ages for the children.

Finally you can contact your Chief Steward and get a copy of the registration form and either mail the completed form to the Union Office or fax it to (608) 259-2405.

CAMPING ANYONE

Don’t forget to make you camping reservations at Capital Springs State Park .  You can do so by calling (608)224-3606 or go to their website at http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/specific/capsprings/camping.html
