Subject: Solidarity Committee needs HELP!!!!

DO YOU WANT TO WIN A PRIZE AND HELP YOUR UNION SOLIDARITY COMMITTEE?  The Solidarity Committee is asking for your help to come up with slogans to use during the Alliant/WPL Contract Negotiations.   These slogans may be used in a variety of ways as we promote solidarity before and during negotiations with Alliant/WPL.  Some of the possibilities include buttons, stickers, billboards and flyers/leaflets.  We ask that you send these slogans to the Union Office prior to August 15, 2006 so the Solidarity committee can determine the best slogan.  The slogans can be e-mailed (unite@ibew965.com), faxed (608-259-2405) or sent in the US mail (IBEW 965 Solidarity Slogan, 1602 South Park , Room 220, Madison , WI 53715 )

The member submitting the best slogan, as determined by the solidarity committee, will be receiving a prize.  The winning slogan will be announced at the Union Solidarity Picnic on August 19, 2006.  You do not need to be present to win the slogan prize.

We are finalizing plans for this year’s solidarity picnic which will be held at Goodland Park on August 19, 2006.  More information concerning reservations to attend the solidarity picnic will be coming next week.  The invitation will be available starting July 1, 2006 on our website (www.ibew965.com) or through your Chief Steward . This year we are again going to make many prizes available to members and family members attending the picnic.  The committee has approved a variety of items for the picnic  including, an air castle, putting green, water balloon toss, helium balloons, slushy machine, food, beverages and much much more.

We will be looking forward to seeing some of the creative slogans that will be returned by all of the members.  Let’s show our solidarity by participating in this activity and maybe even win a prize.   Also show your solidarity and have a ton of fun at the Union Solidarity Picnic on August 19, 2006.
