Negotiation Update - Week of 02/26/07

Note:  Due to a scheduling conflict, the Fond du Lac Solidarity Rally which was being scheduled for Tuesday, March 13 has been changed to Tuesday, March 20^th at 6:00 p.m. at the Fond du Lac Labor Temple .  Hope to see you there.

We continued our negotiations with Alliant Energy this week.  Below is an update on tentative agreements/withdrawals reached on both Company and Union proposals:

Union Proposals -

Seniority transfer vs. acceptance language was withdrawn.  After much discussion, our committee decided to not pursue any further. 

Increase storm duty meal allowance from $28.00 to $36.00.

Bereavement leave added for employee’s nieces and nephews.

On 03/01/07, the company brought in Towers and Perrin to do a pension presentation.  We brought in a financial expert from Union Financial Group to work with us. 

Company Proposals -

Direct Deposit was withdrawn.

Joint Agreement on Union and Company Proposals -

4-10 hour days go to a simple majority.  During a holiday week, ten (10) hours of holiday pay will be paid.
