It is illegal and a violation of sec.8 of the NLRA for an employer to interfere with, restrain, or coerce activities such as filling out this form. As part of the effort to move the membership into an active mode in responding to Alliant Energy’s actions, we have developed a form that will provide a method for the membership to report to the local, decisions made by Alliant Energy that reduce public safety, system reliability, jeopardizes customer’s confidentiality, or inappropriately cost the customer money. These documented incidents and decisions will be presented to company officials so that they can reverse the decision or correct the practice. If the company ignores its responsibility to protect the public interest in the running of this utility, the union will forward this documentation to the appropriate authority including the Public Service Commission, State Legislators, the Attorney General, and the Press to protect the company and our customers.
