On the afternoon of June 19, 2010 Brother Bowen was at the Edgerton, Wisconsin Aquatic Center .  A young boy (Hayden Pritchard) was pulled from the pool and Brother Bowen overheard yells for help from those pulling the boy from the water.  The lifeguard checked life signs and requested someone call 911.  At that time Brother Bowen heard the call for help and responded immediately.  Brother Bowen began chest compressions on the boy which caused him to regurgitate water.  Even still the boy remained unresponsive so Brother Bowen began another round of chest compressions that led to the boy expelling more water and then began breathing.  Had it not been for Brother Bowen, the young boy may not be alive today.
