Rick Irwin: I became a member of Local 965 on February 2nd 1980 as plant helper maintenance at Rock River Generating Plant. In 1994 I became a steward in the Dane County Unit. I then became chief steward in 1998. In 2000 I was appointed as chair of the Health and Safety Committee. In 2001 was elected as Vice President which I held till 2007 when I was appointed President of Local 965. I would strongly encourage our new members to get involved as soon as possible in Local 965.
